Mary Jefferson Frye, 92, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Shelbyville where she lived until five years ago when she moved to Cleveland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Guy Frye; parents, Thomas and Sarah Carothers Jefferson; son, William J. Frye; sisters, Eulalie Jefferson and Elizabeth Bethurum; and brothers, Thomas Alva Jefferson II and James Carothers. She is survived by her children, Donald Frye, Jr. and wife, Cynthia of Bozeman, MT and James D. Frye and wife, Jackie of Cleveland; 8 grandchildren, Colin Frye, Will Frye, Don Frye III, Bill Frye, Eulalie Cook, Mary Hambleton, Sara Christi and Rebecca Lay; 6 great grandchildren, Knox Hambleton, Ella Hambleton, Miriam Frye, Frances Frye, Effie Frye and A.J. Lay; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. EST on Saturday, September 15, 2012 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Randy Martin officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. CST on Saturday in Mount Hope Cemetery in Franklin, TN. Her family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
