THOMAS LYNN WHITMIRE Thomas Lynn Whitmire, 56, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, September 21, 2012, at his home. He was a member of Tasso Christian Church. He was a member of the Cleveland Masonic Lodge, #134, F&AM, where he was a 32nd degree mason. A graduate of Bradley Central High School class of 1975, he was an avid Vols fan. He retired from Whirlpool Corporation after 36 years of service on June 1, 2012. He was very devoted to his grandchildren. He was the son of the late Eulas and Vivian Vaughn Whitmire. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Darlene Whitmire of Cleveland; two daughters, Charlene Mason and Heather Whitmire and fiancé Joel "Sunshine" Curtis, all of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Breonna Dannel, David Clark, Jacob Curtis, and Jeremiah Curtis; two great grandchildren, Haiden Reedy and Silas Randolph; and also several aunts, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend David Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Johnston Cemetery in Meigs County. Pallbearers will be Brian Mooneyham, Randy Burmeister, Travis White, Johnny Cash, and Allen Greer. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony. His family will receive friends on Monday, September 24, 2012, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
