Richard D. Beville, 67, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012, in a local hospital. He served as a manager of manufacturing at Dr. Scholls for 14 years. Serving as a captain in the United States Army, he was a platoon leader in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion Post 81 where he was a volunteer of the color guard and a member of the 40 and 8. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, IA and a Master of Science degree from the University of Illinois. He also was an avid fisherman. Survivors include his wife, Judy Beville; children, Steven "Chip" Beville and wife Kristi of Cleveland, TN, and Amy E. Beville and companion Jason Lang of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Blake Beville, Richard Lupo, and Alicia Lupo; brother Bill Panje of Chicago, IL; nephew, Steve Brinegar of Missouri; and good friend Mike Dickey of Cleveland, TN. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with his comrades from the American Legion Post 81 conducting military honors. The family will receive friends from 12:30 ? 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
