Carl Ledford, 82, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011, at his home. He was of the Baptist faith and a proud member of Woodmen of the World. He was the owner and operator of Ledford Furniture and Flea Market (Hwy 64) that was destroyed by the tornado on April 27th. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Callie Pryor Ledford, as well as the love of his life-wife Patsy Stafford Ledford, who passed away November 20, 2010. Others preceding him in death include daughter Judy Ledford Nesbitt, grandson Craig Michael Ledford, brother Doug Ledford, and sister Mary Elizabeth Lonas. He is survived by his children: Joyce Ann Filyaw and husband Alan of Ocoee, Leon Carl Ledford and wife Carol of Georgetown, Bobby L. Ledford and wife Angie of Ocoee, and Nola Jayne Spurlin and husband Thad of Cleveland; grandchildren: Elizabeth Filyaw, Russell Filyaw and wife Amy, Jennifer Cheatham and husband Shane, Kerri Jones and husband Chris, Sgt. Justin Ledford and wife Casey, Jason Ledford and wife Amy, Chris Ledford, Andrea Crane and husband David, Christa Stuart and husband Ricky, Crissy Brooks and husband Michael, and Lynsey Nesbitt and Lee Nesbitt; twelve great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Purdy officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery concluding with a white dove release ceremony. His grandsons and grandsons-in-law will serve as pallbearers.
