Hazel J Smolira

Hazel J. Smolira, 82, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in a local hospital. Hazel was a retired printer from Lockheed-Martin and worked at Wal-mart as a greeter until 4 years ago. She was of the Catholic faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Hazel Fabos; grandson, Michael Smolira and two great granddaughters Samantha Smolira and Candice Murry. She is survived by her son Stanley Smolira and wife, Teressa; two daughters, Lynn Smolira and Cindy Cathey, all of Cleveland; son-in-law, Tab Cathey of Calhoun; 4 grandsons, William Resse, II of Boonsville, AR, Nolan Cathey, Travis Murray and Chris and Faith Murray , all of Cleveland; 3 granddaughters, Rhiannon Smolira of Cleveland, OH, Zigana and Chris Akins of Cleveland, and Kandace Justus of Glendale, AZ; six great-grandsons, Antonio Dejesus, Mark Beaty all of Cleveland, OH, Jayden Davidson of Eugene, OR, James Akins, Matthew Centers, Nathanial Centers all of Cleveland; great-granddaughter, Samantha Murray of Cleveland; and special friends, Steve Swafford, W.B., Audri Sury and Keith Wilson. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2011 in the parlor of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Beaty and Pastor David Beeler officiating. Nolan Cathey, Chris Akins, Travis Murray, Chris Murray, Matthews Centers, Nathan Centers and Tab Cathey will serve as honorary pallbearers.
