Ann H German

Ann H. German, 76, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, April 10, 2009 in a local hospital. She was a member of Central Church of Christ for years. She retired from the Bradley County Board of Education where she was employed as a bookkeeper. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold (Cooney) D. German who passed away in March 2009; parents Jessie W. Hayes and Thelda Hayes. She is survived by three daughters, Delinda and Ron Crawford of Delano, Mitzi Higgins of MD and Robin and Boyd Hodges of GA. They were blessed with four grandchildren, Patrick and Morgan Stewart of Cleveland and Danielle and Jesse Higgins of MD. She also is survived by two sisters, Evelyn Curtis from Searcy, AR and Louise Robinson of Murfreesboro; brother-in-law, John "Doc" German of Cleveland; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2009 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Minister Tom Harrison officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 11:00-2:00 on Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
