Angela D. Guffey, 37, a resident of Old Fort, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2009. She was a member of Big Spring Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and loved making things for others. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Danny Crumbley and father-in-law, Curtis Guffey. She is survived by her husband, Jason Guffey of Old Fort; father and step-mother, Tommy and Renee Stamey of Atlanta; mother and step-father, Sue and Dewayne Smith of Cleveland; five children, Bryan Stamey, Alex Benson, Patrick Benson, Nicole and Curtis Guffey, all of Old Fort; two grandchildren, Brianna Cross and Jayden Kincannon; four sisters, Denise Graham of Cleveland, Jennifer D?Elia of Raleigh, NC, Kathie Crumbley of Knoxville and Katherine Stamey of Atlanta, one brother Scott Stamey of Atlanta. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Joyce Guffey, brother-in-law, Wayne Guffey, sisters-in-law, Carla Smith and Shannon Nichols all of Etowah. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Big Spring Baptist Church with Pastor George Bulson officiating.
