Jerry L Ramsey

Jerry L. Ramsey, age 70, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2009 at a local hospital. She was member of Seven Islands Baptist Church in Knoxville and attended Washington Avenue Baptist Church in Cleveland. She served as a volunteer grandparent and foster grandparent. She loved her children and grandchildren and gardening and her dog "Socks". She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Ramsey; two sons, David Robert and Ray Ramsey; parents, Fred and Mary Eda Moses Huffstetler and brother, Claude Huffstetler. She is survived by Missie Massengill and husband, Paul of Owensboro, KY, Angela K. Parker and husband, Joe and Elaine Cole and husband, Mitchell, all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Ryan and Michael George of Cleveland, Jay Aytes of Owensboro, KY, Jessica Arp, Jennifer Arp, Deanna Tallman and Molly Holder of Cleveland and Chandra and Tucker Ramsey of Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Henderson and Hunter Eday; brothers and sisters, Betty Handley, Jim Huffstetler and Clara Clark all of Knoxville and Gene Huffstetler of Ohio; step-children, Wanda Elder and husband, Rick of Decatur, TN, Faye Fowler and C.L. and Jimmy Ramsey and wife, Mary, all of Cleveland and Randall Ramsey and wife, Freda of Knoxville, TN; eleven step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special best friend, Jane Banther. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 11:00 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Zion Baptist Cemetery in Polk County with Joe Parker, Eddie Aytes, Ryan George, Troy George, Michael George and Joey Holder serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a White Dove Release Ceremony. Her family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 on Wednesday, April 22 at the funeral home.
