Mary E. Carvin, 77, a resident of Charleston, passed away Monday, April 20, 2009. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a former member of the Calhoun Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed traveling, camping and being with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Lizzie Rowland Wallace; first husband, Raymond Cullins, Sr.; eight brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, James Carvin of Charleston; three children, W.R. Cullins Jr and wife, Debbie of Maryville, Gary M. Cullins of Charleston and Mitch Cullins and wife, Trish of Gatlinburg; five grandchildren, Jason Cullins, Melissa McKelvey, Mandi Hayes, Joshua Cullins and Carmen Cullins; six great-grandchildren; brother, Claude T. "Red" Wallace of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 1:00 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with W.R. Cullins Jr, Gary Cullins and Reverend Kenneth Isabell officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with grandsons, nephews and friends serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a White Dove Release Ceremony. Her family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 on Wednesday, April 22 at the funeral home.
