Darlington Wacoe Lineberry, 74, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, went to her Heavenly reward on Saturday evening, May 2, 2009, at her home with family and friends. She was the daughter of the late Herman Carico and Cleo Roberts Carico. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Lineberry, and her brother-in-law, Lee Dyson. Wacoe served in the capacity as the pastor?s wife in various locations including Pierson, Florida; DeLand, Florida; Finney, Virginia; Sugar Grove, Virginia and Marion, Virginia. After the death of her husband, she went back into the workforce and served as a cook and hostess for Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, Virginia. Retirement in 1999 brought on relocation to Cleveland, Tennessee where she continued to serve many guests as co-owner of Candlewycke Manor Bed and Breakfast. She was a member at Zion Hill Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee. Wacoe had the heart of a servant. She always seemed to find people that needed someone. Her community of friends and family included people of all ages from around the world. Her life?s testament was one that as she made her journey, all would come to know Christ Jesus by her lifestyle. Wacoe?s gentle spirit, warm smile and mentoring attitude have left footprints in the lives of many that she encountered. Survivors include her sister, Reo Dyson of Virginia Beach, Virginia. She had four children: Geanna Walker & spouse, Charlie Walker of Marion, Virginia; Regenia Collier & spouse, Herschel Collier of Cleveland, Tennessee; Aaron Lineberry of Longwood, Florida; and Darius Lineberry & spouse, Jeannie Lineberry of Cleveland, Tennessee. She has five grandchildren: Dana Tomlinson & spouse, Tommy Tomlinson of Rural Retreat, Virginia; Steven Collier of Daytona Beach, Florida; Jeffrey Collier of Madison, Wisconsin; Shannon Lineberry of Cleveland, Tennessee; and Shane Lineberry of Cleveland, Tennessee. She also has two great-grandchildren: Blake Tomlinson and Chase Tomlinson, both of Rural Retreat, Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, 2009 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Horton, Reverend L.W. Carter and Reverend David Risch officiating. A graveside service with entombment will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Marion, VA with Reverend Paul Horton officiating. Her family will receive friends from 4:30 ? 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at the funeral home prior to the service.
