John L Haire

John L. Haire, 75, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2009. He was a member of Southview Baptist Church. He worked at Magic Chef and later retired from Queen/Shaw Industries of Dalton. He was also an avid gardener. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sullivan and Elsie Smith Haire and two siblings, Cecil Haire and Edna Ogle. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruth Haire, one son, Albert Wayne Haire and wife, Melinda, two grandchildren, Matthew and Jeannie Haire; one great grandchild, Layla Haire, all of Cleveland; one sister, Willie Underwood of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2009 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Works and Minister John Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services. His family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2009 at the funeral home.
