Carl Martin Norton

April 6, 1961 — May 19, 2009

Jeff Rymer, 48, a life long resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2009 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was a licensed electrician and as a member of the Local 175 Electrical Union. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He was a devoted UT fan and an avid hunter. He was a member of the National Wildlife Turkey Association and the National Rifle Association. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather who had a heart of gold. He lived a quiet life and was never critical of others. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur Rymer, Naomi Rymer, Rita Rymer and J.B. and Florence Poteet; and a close cousin, Jamie Moses. He is survived by his wife, Sherry E. Rymer of Cleveland; parents, Louis and Doris Rymer of Cleveland; four children, Jeffrey K. Rymer, Ashley Rymer, Tyler Stanley and Austin Rymer, all of Cleveland; one grandchild, Chloee Rymer of Cleveland; two brothers, Shannon and Scott Rymer of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Herbert Conley officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Keith Stanley, Rodney Stanley, Gary Stanley, Steve Bettis, Jimmy Tatum and Kevin Moses will serve at pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 22, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
