Denise Guthrie

Denise Guthrie, 49, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, May 25, 2009. She was a life long resident of Bradley County and was a member of Samples Memorial Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Cleveland State Community College receiving an Associate Degree in Accounting, Business Management and Computer Programming and was employed with U.S.A. Mortgage Company. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her father, Leon McClure. She is survived by her husband, George Guthrie of Cleveland; mother, Wanoka McClure Sullivan; two children: Jeremy Guthrie and wife Alicia of Cleveland, and Jason Guthrie and wife Holly of Old Fort; three grandchildren: Abby Guthrie, Andy Guthrie and Emma Guthrie; one brother, Dale McClure and wife Becky of Cleveland; one half brother, Robert McClure and wife Joann of Cleveland; one half sister, Gwen Ledford of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 Friday, May 29, 2009, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Ingram and Pastor Roy Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Springs Cemetery concluding with a white dove release ceremony. Her family will receive friends Thursday, May 28, 2009, from 2 ? 4 p.m. and 5 ? 8 p.m. at the funeral home. They will also receive friends Friday one hour prior to the service.
