Robert Cameron

Robert "Pete" Cameron, 60, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday evening, May 30, 2009, in a Chattanooga hospital surrounded by his family and friends. He was a member of the 1967 graduating class at Bradley High School and was employed with Magic Chef for 23 years and Tri-State Warehouse for five years. He and his wife owned and operated Cameron?s Restaurant in Cleveland and B & B Marina in Charleston. He attended Maple Street Baptist Church and was an honorary member of the American Legion, VFW and AmVets. He was also an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Cameron, Sr. and Jeanette Ellis Cameron, and one sister, Shirley Henderlight. He is survived by his wife, Gloria June Carroll Cameron of Cleveland; children: Meridith Dean and husband Jeremy of Hixson, Robert Chadwick Cameron and April Thomison of Cleveland, Tim Mantooth and wife Karen of Albertsville, AL, Danny Mantooth and wife Lavitta of Cleveland, Mark True of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Carrie Hensley and husband Keith of Athens, and Tina Prater and husband Jim of Panama City, FL; sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three sisters: Margaret Jones and husband Paul of Cleveland, Darlene Swaggerty and husband Danny of Knoxville, and Karen Holliday of Cleveland; one brother, Anthony Cameron and wife Sheila of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Sieber, Minister Franklin Hyberger and Reverend Anthony Cameron officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009, in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Pallbearers include: Tim Mantooth, Dan Mantooth, Brian Groves, Jeremy Dean, Paul Jones and Keith Hensley. His family will receive friends from 4 ? 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
