Guinn Hamby

Guinn Hamby, 68, a resident of Birchwood, TN, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009, at his home. He was employed with TVA for 35 years and was of the Baptist faith. His parents, Frank and Vrytle Williamson Hamby, preceded him in death as well as his brother, Jack Hamby. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Juanita Hamby of Birchwood, TN; children: Larry Hamby of Birchwood, TN, and Karen Carter of Murphy, NC; one grandson, Matthew Weatherford of Murphy, NC; two sisters: Joyce Allen of Hiwassee Dam Community, NC, and Jeanette Raper of Port Orange, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home concluding with a white dove release ceremony.
