Betty Sue Pendergrass

Betty Sue Pendergrass, 62 of Decatur, passed away Monday, October 26, 2009 in an Athens hospital. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. Womack and Willie Mae Howard Womack. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Pendergrass of Decatur; children, Betty Denice Harder of Georgetown, Susan Catlett of Decatur, Willie Ann Greene of Decatur and Joseph Pendergrass of Charleston; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Martha Jean Prentice of Decatur and Mandy Scoggins of Birchwood; brothers, Wayne Womack and Scott Womack, both of Birchwood; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Howard officiating. Joe Powers, Damien Powers, Jeffrey Hogan, Joe Hayes, Jesse Scroggins and Rick Catlett will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in McInturf Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
