Edna Ruth Richardson

Edna "Ruth" Richardson, 81, a resident of Old Fort, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2009, at her home. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Lou Hefiner Smith Ownby, father, Richard Smith, and husband, J. W. Richardson. She is survived by her daughters: Cynthia Isom and husband, Paul of Cleveland and Sandy Moore and husband, Charles of Old Fort; grandchildren: Angie Moses and husband, Tony of Tellico, Amy Dantzler and husband, Alan of Cleveland, Bethany Holt and husband, James of Cleveland, Julie Baker and husband, Scotty of Tennga, GA, Jamie Hall and husband, Nick of Old Fort, Nathaniel Moore and Latisha Ensley, both of Old Fort; five great-grandchildren; sisters: Deanna Dooly of Andrews, NC, and Jo Ann Young of Cleveland; brothers: Jake Smith and Hal Ownby, both of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2009, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Moore and Reverend Scotty Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens concluding with a white dove release ceremony. Nathaniel Moore, Tony Moses, Alan Dantzler, Scotty Lewallen, Nick Hall, Mitchell Dalton and Phillip Sherrill will serve as pallbearers.
