Jane Parker McIlwain, 67, passed away Friday, November 6, 2009 in Tallahassee, FL. She was born on February 17, 1942 in Rome, GA, but considered herself a native of Cleveland. She graduated in 1960 from Bradley Central High School. She retired from the Social Security Administration Office of Hearings and Appeals. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Parker and Geneva Crum; brother, Kenneth Parker; and sister, Carol Minge. She was the beloved mother of two daughters, Cindy McIlwain and partner, Ken Nelson of Mary Esther, FL and Jennifer Giddens and husband, Duane of Tallahassee, FL. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Erin, Jackson and Carter Giddens; brother, Jim Parker; sisters, Judy Garcia and Verna Crum; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Bill Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
