Robert E. "Bob" Plemons, 67, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009. He was a member of Maple Street Baptist Church and was very involved with his church and family. He also volunteered at Signature Care in Cleveland. He was a retailer and also a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pless C. Plemons, Sr. and Amy Alene Moore Plemons; sister, Virginia Plemons Haynie; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, LeRoy and Lou Ogle. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara Jean Ogle Plemons of Cleveland; two children, Amy Claxton and husband, Chris of Maryville and Ike Plemons and wife, Amy of Cleveland; three grandchildren, LouCindia Claxton and Drey Claxton of Maryville and Owen Plemons of Cleveland; one sister, Ann Jett and one brother, Clifford Plemons and wife, Jo, all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Brooks and Pastor Chris Seiber officiating. Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the U.S. National Cemetery in Chattanooga, with military honors. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 21, 2009 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
