Jeannie Robinson

December 14, 1941 — February 20, 2009

Jeannie Robinson, 67, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 20, 2009, at her residence surrounded by members of her family. She was a faithful member of the North Cleveland Church of God and the worship leader of the Encourager?s Sunday School class. Her Christian faith was an inspiration to many throughout her life. She especially displayed courage as she never wavered in her trust in God since being diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in May, 2005. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Florence Grayson Holmes, of Florence, Kentucky. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Reverend Julian B. Robinson, of Cleveland; two sons and spouses: Reverend Jeffrey B. and Carla Robinson of Bismarck, North Dakota, and Reverend Jeremy B. and Ginger Robinson of Bethalto, Illinois; five grandchildren: Stone Robinson, Abigail Robinson, Madray Robinson, Lily Robinson and Mallory Robinson; sister, Betty Holmes Neely, and husband, Tom Neely, of Huntsville, Alabama; sister-in-law, Nina Ruth Lewis, of St. Simons Island, Georgia. One niece and three nephews also survive. Family and friends will forever remember Jeannie?s smile and her tremendous capacity for love and compassion for others. Her energy and love for life, a life-time commitment to Jesus Christ, and devotion to her family will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at the North Cleveland Church of God. Officiating will be Jeannie?s two sons, Pastor Mitch Maloney, and Dr. Raymond F. Culpepper. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2009, at the North Cleveland Church of God. Memorial contributions for those desiring to honor Jeannie?s life and testimony may contact the Church of God International Offices at 423-478-7232 to make contributions to the 2009 YWEA (Youth World Evangelism Action) project.
