Charles "Buddy" Scoggins, 66, a life long resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2009 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a NASCAR fan and an avid golfer. He was employed with Peytons Southeastern for fifteen years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Selma Jackson. Survivors include his wife of 22 years Ann Scoggins of Cleveland; father, Raymond Scoggins of Ooltewah; two daughters and spouses: Ginger and Scottie Fain and Tina and Sam King all of Cleveland; one step daughter, Debbie Davis of Alvin, Texas; one step son and spouse: Bobby and Amy Davis of Cleveland; one grandchild, Spencer King; three step grandchildren: D.J. Holloway, Marie Holloway and Crystal Freeman; one sister, Margaret "Bootsie" Cypher and husband, Charles Cypher of Alabama; several nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2009 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Charles Williams officiating. His family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2009 at the funeral home prior to the service.
