Ilene M. Frazier Davis, of Cleveland, born April 17, 1914 in Fredona, Kansas to the late Larry Frazier and Lennie Dixon Frazier of Old Fort, TN passed away Friday, February 27, 2009 at the family residence. She was a homemaker and worked as cafeteria manager at Taylor Elementary School. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Pauline and Reba Jean; her husband of 57 years, Paul J. Davis; son, Daniel P. Davis; grandson, Philip B. McCracken; son-in-law, John Hampton; daughter-in-law, Carolyn G. Davis; granddaughter, Dannette Davis; sister, Wilma Crouse; brothers: Hobert, Lunsford, Vernon, Glenn and Roy Frazier. Survivors include five children: Martha Sue Hampton of Knoxville; Syble Newton and husband, Jesse Newton of Dalton, GA; Fred L. Davis and wife, Wanda Groomes Davis; Kathryn McCracken and husband, Eugene McCracken; David Gary Davis, Mayor of Bradley County, and wife, Sonya Brown Davis all of Cleveland; eighteen grandchildren: John Hampton, Patti Robertson, Rick, Mike and Danny Davis, Cheri Ellis, David Hancock, Steve Hancock, Candy Rayfield, Sandy Porter, Leon Davis, Kathy McMahan, Timothy McCracken, Adam McCracken, April May, Blake Davis, Callie and Cameron Davis; twenty-five great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; sisters: Margaret Rogers of Etowah; Joyce Tilson and Edna Officer of Cleveland and brother, Welden Frazier of Old Fort. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 2, 2009 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Wayne Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery in Old Fort with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
