Bill Ingram departed this life on March 6, 2009 and left a world of God?s creation that he dearly loved and is now with Jesus whom he loves even more. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Carolyn, one son, Robert Dwight of Rocky Face, GA, one daughter, Dana Lynn Garland of Cleveland, TN, and a sister, Eva Lee Green of Center, GA. He is also survived by four precious grandchildren, Jason Mobley, Tanner Garland, Courtney Garland and Tori Ingram. Bill spent 29 years of his life teaching, counseling and coaching in public schools. He spent 4 years with the Job Corps program, and 12 years directing the Senior Adult and Care Ministries of Westwood Baptist Church. Most recently Bill had volunteered his time as a big brother and mentor for boys in the Cleveland Public School system. Bill?s body has been donated to medical science, however the family will receive friends on Monday, March 9, 2009 at Westwood Baptist Church from 5 to 7 p.m. Immediately following at 7 p.m. there will be a praise service that will be a memorial to Bill?s love for his Savior. All friends and former students are invited to attend. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either Habitat for Humanity, New Hope Crisis Pregnancy Center or the Caring Place. Bill was involved with each of these organizations. Ralph Buckner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
