Carolyn Ann Hall Beatty, 67, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009 in a local hospital. Carolyn was a beloved mother, sister and aunt. She was a compassionate, heart-strong woman dedicated to philanthropy and was also a devout Christian and Bible enthusiast. She was born and raised in Cleveland and had moved to the Chicago area for approximately 35 years but relocated back to Cleveland in 1991. As a child, she was a member of the Children?s Sunshine Choir, sponsored by Faith Memorial and Pastor M.E. Littlefield. The group performed weekly on WBAC radio. Upon her return to Cleveland, she resumed her involvement at Faith Memorial (current pastor David Riggs). She was an accomplished piano player, singer and songwriter. She was a successful local realtor. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Horace Hall and Carolyn Melvene O?Neal Hall of Cleveland. She is survived by her children: James Beatty, Jr. and Joseph R. Beatty; ex-husband, James Beatty; two sisters: Devada Hall Ball and Gala Hall Coile and G. Mack Coile of Cleveland; brother, Milton Hall and wife Ida Hall of Louisville, KY; nieces and nephews: Dianna Ball Calfee, Elang Ball Holden, Carolyne Coile, Shannon Coile McDaniel, Angel Coile, Janice Hall Graff and Curtis Hall; too many special friends to list. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2009 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor David Riggs officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the funeral home.
