Kenneth Hawkins

Kenneth L. Hawkins, 75, a life long resident of Cisco, GA and the Old Fort area, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 at his residence. He was a member of Berean Baptist Church and was a lover of life. Mr. Hawkins was the son of the late Jim Hawkins and Pearl (Cochran) Hawkins and was also preceded in death by siblings: Gerstal Hawkins, Vernon Hawkins, Marvin Hawkins, Wincell Hawkins, C.L. Hawkins and J.B. Hawkins. He is survived by his children: Debra E. Hammontree and husband Frank C. Hammontree of Cohutta, GA and Samuel L. Hawkins of Old Fort, TN; five grandchildren: Brian L. Price, Donald R. Price, April R. Allen, Jeremy R. Hawkins and Christopher T. Hawkins; eleven great-grandchildren brothers: Julian Hawkins and Waymon Hawkins both of Cleveland; sisters: Velma June Randolph and Margie Price both of Cleveland, Jessie Marie Ballew, Gladys Sampson and Ruth Ann Ledford all of Old Fort, TN and Wilma Sue Brock of Crandall, GA; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2009 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. A private interment will be held at Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Harold Brock, Ray Hawkins, Delane Brock, David Hawkins, Ricky Hawkins and Milburn Hawkins will serve as pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at the funeral home.
