Loretta G. Brown, 89, a resident of Bradley County and formerly of McMinn County, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Life Care of Cleveland. She was a member of the Hampton Drive Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting and reading. Mrs. Brown was the daughter of the late John Gregory and Lacie Hutton Gregory and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd F. Wright, Jr. and her second husband, James T. Brown; son, James F. Brown and a sister, Audie Cooper. Survivors include her children and spouses: Judy Gaston and Ken Gaston of Cleveland, Martha O?Daniel of Benton, Deena Shell and Albert Shell of Cleveland, Lu Cain and Donald Cain of Kingsland, GA and John B. Brown and Mary Brown of Cleveland; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers: John Gregory, Jr. of Ringgold, GA, Bill Gregory of Georgetown and Lyle Gregory of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2009 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Herbert Fansler officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
