Lyle E. Gregory, 74, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, April 3, 2009 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. Before his retirement, he was employed with Little Debbie and later with Hardwick Stove Company as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lacy Hutton Gregory, and two sisters: Audie Cooper and Loretta Brown. Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Whalen Gregory of Cleveland; two children: Terry Gregory and wife Norma of Cleveland, and Joyce Annete Johnson and husband Jimmy of McDonald; two step-children: Lillian Diane Placek of Cleveland, and Kenneth S. Weaver of Carpentersville, IL; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; two brothers: William Gregory of Harrison and John Gregory of Ringgold, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 5, 2009, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Max Morris officiating. His family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
