Robert Smith “Smitty” King, 77, a resident of McDonald, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 in an effort to help his family. He was a member of Blackfox United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was retired from Tennessee Plywood after serving as a truck driver for the company. Mr. King was the son of the late Paul S. King and Etta M. Johnson King. He is survived by his wife, Nelle Moore King of McDonald; three daughters: Teressa Scott of Cleveland, Nancy King of Chattanooga and Pamela Jones of McDonald; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Moore; two cousins: Frankie Norris and Shirley Liner; friends, Edward and Elizabeth Rogers. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
