Joseph Rymer

Joseph “Calvin” Rymer, 70, a resident of Cleveland, went home to celebrate his birthday, Monday, May 2, 2011 with his Lord. He was a member of Boanerges Baptist Church. Calvin retired from Hardwick Stove Company after 25 years of employment. He enjoyed his garden, bluegrass music and fireworks business. The people he met through his business became his friends. He loved his three sons and they were the light of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul E. and Marjorie Rymer; grandparents, Mike and Verlie Rymer and Samuel and Emma Holt; and brother, William Anderson Rymer. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Rymer of Cleveland; children: Mark Rymer of Jacksonville, FL; Erik Rymer and Travis Rymer both of Cleveland; siblings: Dale and Bernice Rymer; Mary and Buddy Cordell; R.L. and Kay Rymer; Hilda and Ray Williams; Percy and Brenda Rymer; and Billy and Carolyn Rymer; Stella Foster and Oscar; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Tracy Fansler and Robert Rominger officiating. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 in Flint Springs Cemetery with Mike Rymer, James Rymer, Paul Rymer, Gene Rymer, Johnny Heifner and Ted Johnson serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
