Michael Allen

Michael Allen, 61, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, December 29, 2008 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was a member of Mt Olive Church of God. He was employed with CJ Mahan Construction Company LLC as a welder. He was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Mr. Allen was the son of the late Rondall and Murl Raley Allen and was also preceded in death by his brother, Danny Allen. Survivors include his wife, Vonnell Allen of Cleveland; two children: Aaron Allen and Alexandria Nicole Allen both of Cleveland; one sister, Gaye Allen of Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia. Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2009 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Sears and Reverend Earnest L. Whitely officiating. His family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2009 at the funeral home prior to the service.
