Dorris "Dodie" Crow Hines, 76, of Kennesaw, GA, formerly of Chattanooga passed away, Wednesday, December 31, 2008 in a Marietta, GA hospital. She was a member of the Baptist church and attended Lupton Drive Baptist Church. She owned and operated "Hairstyles by Dodie" in Chattanooga for over fifteen years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer L. Crow and Nora Mae Hardwick Crow; brothers: Mack Crow and Dwight Crow and sister, Christina Crow. Mrs. Hines is survived by her husband, Minor Hines of Kennesaw, GA; two sons: Dwight Hines of Dallas, TX, Dwayne Hines and wife, Kathi of Marietta, GA; one daughter, Melinda Haydel, of Jackson, MS; six grandchildren: Austin Hines of Dallas, TX, Parker Hines and Cooper Hines of Marietta, GA, Ethan Haydell and Ely Haydell of Raceland, LA and Jason Finnell of Chattanooga; one sister, Evelyn Honeycutt and husband, Robert of Lafayette, GA; one nephew, Scott Honeycutt and wife, Tami of Ringgold, GA and several nieces. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 5, 2009 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Dr. Ernest Groce officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Michael Salisbury, Austin Hines, Scott Honeycutt, Johnny Hines, Ray Bullock and Chuck Denham serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 4 ? 6 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
