Raymond Marshall Griffith

The Rev. Raymond Griffith, age 73, a minister and retired truck driver with Brown Brothers Construction Co. in Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, January 3. He faithfully served the Lord as a bivocational pastor for 50 years, and was a member of the Red Bank Baptist Church at the time of his death. The Rev. Griffith was preceded in death by his father and mother, Paul and Jessie Griffith; three brothers: James, Herman and Edward Griffith; and one daughter-in-law: Glenda Griffith. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Delores Griffith; two sons: Bill and his wife, Karen Griffith of Cleveland, and Ricky Griffith Sr. of Soddy Daisy; brother: Carlton Griffith of Red Bank; and grandchildren and their spouses: Melinda and Jeff Sisk, Dawn and Michael Zerk; Ricky Griffith Jr, Elizabeth Griffith, Daniel Griffith and Whitney Roberts; great-grandchildren: Arabella Zerk, Isaac Zerk, Will Sisk and Hadley Sisk; several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 5, at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the funeral home at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson.
