Pearl Marie Baker, 97, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2009 in a local healthcare facility. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ella Martin; husband, Gene Baker; son, Charles Baker; grandsons, Dean Baker and Danny Baker; sons-in-law: Bill Shell and Charles Carter. She is survived by her children: Roy Baker and wife, Ann of Birchwood; Kenneth Baker and wife, Sandy and daughter, Sue Shell Carter all of Cleveland; eight grandchildren: Paul Baker, Kathy Montgomery, Sondra Brown, Tami Martin, Susan Lewis, Ricky Beck, Marie Baker and David Baker; nineteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; brother, David Martin and sister, Blanche Parris both of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel White and Pastor Jimmy Gravley, grandson-in-law officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with grandsons and great grandsons: Jimmy Gravley, Scot Montgomery, Cody Beck, Jerry Step, Lee Baker and Bobby Gorman serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 2-4 P.M. and 6 -8 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
