Wiley G. Sexton, 62, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009. He graduated from Bradley Central High School in 1965 and received an associate degree in law enforcement from Cleveland State Community College. He also received a certificate of maintenance at Chattanooga State Tech College. He spent most of his life in law enforcement, but his last employment was with Excel Logistics in Charleston where he loved his fellow employees and his job. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Viet Nam Conflict. He was of the Baptist faith and was also a member of the Cleveland Masonic Lodge #134 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his parents: Freeman and Juanita Kearney Sexton and one sister, Wanda West. He is survived by two sisters: Pat Holcomb and husband Larry, and Peggy Sexton, all of Cleveland; one brother, Clyde "Jackie" Sexton and wife Carolyn of Cleveland; former wife, Mary Sexton of Rome, GA; and several nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends from 5 ? 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
