Roy William Kyle, 69, a resident of Cleveland for the past 50 years and a native of Gilmer County, GA, passed away Thursday afternoon in a local hospital. He was an active member of the East Side church of Christ. He was a retired employee of Maytag Corporation with 34 years of service and was currently employed with Tractor Supply Company. He was a member of the Mainstreet Cruisers Car Club. He always had beautiful trucks and enjoyed showing them at car shows. He loved helping people in so many ways. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Bertha Holloway Kyle; sisters: Regina Buckner, Betty McAlister, Evelyn Green and Lillie Allen. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 ½ years, Patsy Terrell Kyle of Cleveland; one daughter, Karen Hunsucker and husband, Alan of Cleveland; one granddaughter, Miranda Trew; one grandson, Max Trew; one sister, Estalee Keller; six brothers: Herdis Kyle, George Kyle and Larry Kyle all of Cleveland;, Bobby Kyle of Benton and Tommy Kyle and Benny Kyle of Cherrylog, GA; and many beloved nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2009 at East Side church of Christ with Jeff Archey and Bill Maynard officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Tim Green, Ronnie Keller, Colby Keller, Doug McAlister, Billy Kyle, Jay Kyle and Brandon Terrell serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. Saturday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
