Homer Grant Roberson

Homer Grant Roberson, 61, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2009 in a local healthcare facility. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Murphy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lydia Chambers Bryson. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Batts Roberson of Cleveland; two daughters: Tina Patterson and husband Wesley Patterson and Vickie Roberson all of Morganton, Georgia; one step daughter, Kim Jones and husband Randy Jones of Cleveland; three step sons: Kevin Holmes, Chris Holmes and Mike Holmes all of Cleveland; three grandchildren: Brittany Johnson and Brandon Patterson both of Morganton, Georgia and Melissa Jones of Cleveland; father, Grant Roberson of Georgia; one special aunt, Edith Carringer and special cousin Shirley Roberson both of Murphy, North Carolina. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2009 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Sammy Hooker officiating. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2009 at the Lebanon Baptist Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the funeral home.
