Jeffrey Lynn Burger

Jeffrey Lynn Burger, 45, passed away Saturday, February 07, 2009 at the family residence. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. He was employed at M&M Mars and a member of Philippi Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sara Mae Burger. He is survived by his loving wife Brenda Burger; one daughter, Jessica Burger of Turtletown, TN; two step daughters, Mandy Sullivan and Robin Bishop both of Cleveland; two step grandchildren, Erin Sullivan and Brody Bishop both of Cleveland; father, James Burger of Blue Ridge, Georgia; one brother, Jimmy Burger of Blue Ridge, Georgia two sisters, Melinda Phillips of Blue Ridge, Georgia and DeEtta Brooks of Newnan, Georgia; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the Philippi Baptist Church with Reverend Sammy Hooker and Reverend Ronnie Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow in Copper Ridge Memory Gardens in Blue Ridge, Georgia with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Alan Oliver, Freddy Long, Kevin Waller, Bob Sosbee, Denny Collins and Rodney Bain will serve as pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2009 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and also from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the church prior to the service.
