Vesta "Chick" Frady White Crisp, 82, a resident of Benton, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 14, 2009. "Granny" was a loving dedicated mother and grandmother to all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the oldest dedicated charter member of Ocoee Church of God and considered the members her second family. She was a member of the Greater Cleveland Ceramic Association. "Chick" retired from Maytag Corporation after thirty-two years of faithful service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calton Frady and Icie Romines Frady; brother, Q-Vaughn Frady, sister, Neta Hindman; her husband and father of her children, R. T. White; second husband, Rev. Ray Crisp and companion Jack Corcoran. She is survived by her four children: Robert White and Rolanda Coblentz both of Cleveland; Beverly Rogers, Nancy Gates and husband, Dennis all of Benton; six step-children and their spouses; five grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Vero Frady of Detroit, MI and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Ocoee Church of God with the Reverend Charles Barrett and Mike Whitmire officiating. Interment will follow in Dill Cemetery in Old Fort with Al Rogers, Jr., Mark Rogers, Richard White, Quintin Campbell, Wayne Hindman and Dennis Gates serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 4-8 P.M. Monday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and from 1-2 P.M. Tuesday at the church.
