John “Bill” Coffey, 69, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 in a local hospital. He was a member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church. He owned and operated Bill Coffey Construction Company. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Lenora Coffey, daughter, Lisa West, sister, Mary Anne Burnham and his brother, Jimmy Coffey. He is survived by his wife, Willa Mae Coffey; three children: Mitchell and Amanda Coffey, Sherry Plumley and Johnny Hensley; eight grandchildren: Brandon West, Cassie West, Devin Hensley, Zach Plumley, Megan Hensley, Isaac Coffey, Breana Coffey and Javen Coffey; one brother, Robert Coffey; one sister, Judy Massengail; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Huel Hooker and Reverend Paul Isom officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery near Turtetown with military honors. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Brandon West, Zach Plumley, Tim Edwards, Todd Satterfield, Kenny Johnson and Sam Coffey will serve as pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the funeral home prior to the service.
