Barbara Ann Elder

January 21, 1934 — February 14, 2011

Barbara Ann Elder, 77, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, February 14, 2011 in a Chattanooga healthcare facility. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Dorothy Kimbrough; and husband, Willie S. Elder. Survivors include her 3 children: Suzanne Anderson; Debbie Hooker and her husband, Bill; and Randy Elder and wife, Brenda all of Cleveland; 5 grandchildren: Shondra Hickman, Melanie Stepp, Kevin Bishop, Tiffany Goode and Amanda McCann all of Cleveland; 10 great grandchildren: Colby Hooker, Taylor Hickman, Devin Hickman, Tori Stepp, Savannah Elder, Cash Goode, J.J. Higgins, Gaven Higgins, Blake Bishop and Brooke Bishop all of Cleveland; 1 brother, Bill Kimbrough and wife, Faye of Cleveland; special son-in-law, Wayne O. Hickman of Cleveland; special friends, Shirley Hackney and Perry Myers both of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 17, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home the Reverend Johnny Hood officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Alvin Howard, Dale Stepp, Steve Hilliard, Wayne Hickman, Todd Houston and Jeff Robinson serving as pallbearers. Max Clayton, Steve Clayton and Rod Clayton will serve as honorary pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the funeral home.
