Genevieve Rose Cree, 83, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008 in an Ohio hospital. She was a member of North Cleveland Church of God for over 35 years. She was retired from Bradley Memorial Hospital after many years of service. Mrs. Cree was the daughter of the late Raymond Johnson and Catherine Flick and was also preceded in death by her husband, Melvin E. Cree. She is survived by her children and spouses: Susan Cree Knipp of Mentor, Ohio and Vicki Raye Hancock and Winston Hancock of Humble, Texas; seven grandchildren: Ryan Hancock, Christopher Knipp, Matthew Knipp, Jonathan Knipp, Stephen Knipp, Angi Michelle Lewis and Kimberly Knipp; eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Bishop Donald Knipp and Dr. Dr. Winston Hancock officiating. Interment will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2008 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Hancock, Christopher Scott Knipp, Matthew David Knipp, Jonathan Gregory Knipp and Stephen Michael Knipp. Her family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the funeral home prior to the service.
