Eula Mae Jordan

Eula Mae Jordan, beloved wife and mother passed away quietly on Friday, October 24, 2008 in a Chattanooga hospital. She had suffered a stroke on October 11th and did not recover. Mrs. Jordan will be remembered as a devoted Christian woman who spent many, many hours on her knees praying for the sick and broken hearted. She loved the people in her church, Bellefonte Baptist, where she was a member since 1975. She was a longtime member of the Order of The Eastern Star, Calhoun Chapter 187 of Calhoun, TN and a longtime member of Asabi Court #36 of Ladies Oriental Shrine of America. Inc. Mrs. Jordan was born in Clintwood, VA, August 29, 1924, the 2nd of three children to the late Parmer and Myrtle Sutherland. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Parcus Sutherland. She leaves to mourn her husband, Marce Jordan of Charleston; son, Dale Prince and wife, Cathy of Charleston; daughter, Cheryl Kilburg and husband, Harold of Libertyville, IL; grandchildren: Shaun Hillman and wife, Tara of Cleveland, Kirbey Hook and wife, Caryn of Fox Lake, IL, Sabra Foss and husband Shawn of Cleveland, Marz Hook-Courrier and husband Michael of Libertyville, IL and Rylan Hook of Park City, IL; precious great grandchildren: Amber Stokes, Kylee Stokes and Cierra Stokes of Cleveland, Austin Hook of Atlanta, GA, Summer Currier of Libertyville, IL; sister, Wilma Danley of McClure, VA;and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Lake Walker and the Reverend Ray Higgins officiating and Rylan Hook giving the eulogy. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Arnold Moss, Shawn Foss, Shaun Hillman, Stacy Roderick, Allan Walsh and Calvin Arnold serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Kirbey Hook, Rylan Hook, Tommy Graham, Larry Hicks and Danny Wilson. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
