Mamie Lee Vassey

Mamie Lee Vassey, 92, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, November 10, 2008 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was retired from American Uniform Co. after 35 years of service. She was the daughter of the late Horace and Mamie Long Swafford and was the widow of Albert Vassey. She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Smalling and Joan Darnell both of Cleveland; 3 grandchildren: Andrea Davis, Mark Smalling and Renae Wright and 5 great grandchildren. A graveside service was conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jim Caywood and Pastor Frank Nolen officiating.
