Robert Wilburn Dunn

Reverend Robert Wilburn Dunn, 84, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008 at the family residence. During his life, Rev. Dunn pastored eight local churches in the southeast Tennessee and is a current member of North Cleveland Baptist Church. A retired millwright from Bowater Corporation and bivocational Southern Baptist pastor, Rev. Dunn was a devoted 50 year member of the Masonic Order and an Alhambra Shriner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Edna McDonald Dunn; one sister, Juanita Harris of Cleveland, two brothers, John Dunn of Detroit, MI and Homer Dunn of Cleveland. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Dunn of Cleveland; five children: Larry Dunn of Cleveland, Royce Dunn of San Diego, CA, Ruth Mantooth of Atlanta, GA, Doyle Dunn of San Diego, CA and Jan Schroll of Cleveland; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; three brothers: Julius Dunn of Crandall, GA, Randal Dunn of Chatsworth, GA and Clyde Dunn of Cleveland; two sisters: Geneva Clonts and Barbara Flowers both of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Chaplain Doyle Dunn and Reverend Jay McCluskey officiating. An entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Julius Dunn, Clyde Dunn, Randall Dunn, Brent Mantooth, Adriel Dunn and James Mantooth. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends from 5 to 8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
