Lynn Huntley Powers

Lynn Huntley Powers, 99, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2008 in a local healthcare facility. He graduated from St. Andrews Sewanee. He was chosen as an alternate to Annapolis but attended Lincoln Memorial University. He was an engineer with Westinghouse Aero Space and Marine Group. Mr. Powers was the son of the late William Bascomb Powers and Charlotte Vance Powers and was also preceded in death by his wife, Goldie Bryan and his second wife Elizabeth Bricker; his son, Robert Lynn Powers; sister, Helena Powers and brother, Herman Powers. He is survived by his daughter, Judith Powers of Cleveland; step son, Eddie Bricker and wife Sharon Bricker of Bristol; two nieces: Barbara Boone of Denver, Colorado and Sandra Foley of Parma, Ohio; one nephew, John Knight of Denver, Colorado; loyal and devoted friends, Lynn DeVault and GloGhegan both of Cleveland. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
