Winston Floyd, 77, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in a Chattanooga hospital. He attended Clingan Ridge Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Mary Floyd; siblings, Peggy Watts, James Floyd, Dillard Floyd, Eugene Floyd and W.R. Floyd and a grandson, Brad Wills. He is survived by his wife of fifteen years, Margaret McFarland Floyd of Cleveland; daughters and sons-in-law: Melba and Kevin Wills, Wanda and Thomas Lane all of Cleveland, Connie and George Andrews of Decatur, Sherri and Blake Parham and Venda Smith all of Cleveland; step children and spouses: Wayne McFarland and Rena McFarland, Sonya Hitson and Kenneth Hitson and Donna Hitson all of Cleveland; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Trew of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Harlow Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Ronnie McDowell, Johnny McKinley, Don Varner, Matt Hitson, Chris Hitson and Wesley McFarland will serve as pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 12 -2 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2008 at the funeral home prior to the service.
