Geneva Cox White

October 15, 1924 — October 12, 2008

GENEVA N. COX WHITE, 83, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008, in a Nashville hospital. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of North Cleveland Church of God. During World War II, she did electrical work on military aircraft in Marietta, Georgia, and then later was employed with American Uniform for over thirty years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Onie Cox, her husband of 57 years, Van L. White, and several brothers and sisters: Deo Cox, Luke Cox, Glen Cox, Claude Cox, Paul Cox, Hazel Carr and Sue Winkler. She is survived by two children and their spouses: Jerry and Thomas Falls of Cleveland, and Jeffrey L. and Jane White of Spring City; two grandchildren: Thomas David Falls and wife Ashley of Cleveland, and Steven Van Falls and wife Theresa of Chattanooga; five great-grandchildren: Brance Falls, Kaid Falls, Brayden Falls, Grayson Falls and Emilee Taylor; two sisters: Virginia Haynes of Dalton, GA, and Catherine Davis of Calhoun, GA; lifelong friend, Helen Henley of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Joe White officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with David Falls, Steven Falls, Van White, Don White, Eddie Cox and Alan Cox serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony. Her family will receive friends from 5 ? 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
