James Edward Thomas

James Edward “Eddie” Thomas, 63, of Cleveland was born May 14, 1947 and went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, November 25, 2010. He was an antique car enthusiast. He was a member of New Fellowship Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ed and Margaret Louise Burris Thomas; father and mother-in-law, Basil and Marjorie Hyde; and grandparents, Charlie and Hattie Burris and Leonard and Nola Thomas. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen Thomas of Cleveland; uncles, Leonard Thomas and Bobby Gray; aunt, Barbara Burris; brother-in-law, Lamar Hyde and wife, Cornita; sister-in-law, Becky Mastin and husband, Randy; nieces and nephews, Nicole Hyde, Kassie Howard and husband, Cliff, Bowdie Hyde and wife, Sasha and Tyler Mastin; great nieces and nephews, Haley Wagner, McKayla Goree, Bella Howard and Braden Hyde; and several very special cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Paul Isom and the Reverend Cliff Howard officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Bowdie Hyde, Tyler Mastin, Randy Mastin, Mike Long, Terry Long, Mike Liner and Lamar Hyde serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
