Vida H. Wilson, 93, a life long resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2010 in a Cleveland hospital. She was a member of Restoration Fellowship and a charter member of the church since 1959. She enjoyed gardening, working with her flowers and watching humming birds. She was the daughter of the late Henry Hester and Carrie Belle Hester and was also preceded in death by her first husband, R.L. Simons and her second husband, Clyde C. Wilson; son, Robert Wendell Simons and wife, Dr. Brenda Joyce Simons PHD; siblings, Irene Humphreys, Clara Mae Morris, Effie Lou McKay, Nora Gay, Willie Lee Hester, J.W. Hester and Bessie Davis. She is survived by her children: Joe W. Simons and wife, Mary Janet Simons of Boaz, Alabama, Sandra E. Sutton and husband, John F. Sutton of Cleveland, Kenneth T. Simons and wife, Pamela Kaye Simons of Cleveland; grandchildren: Leamond Simons and wife, Tina of Boaz, Alabama, Renae Beddingfield and husband, Jackie of Albertville, Alabama, Lee Sutton and wife, Catherine of Ooltewah, Tyler Simons and special friend, Carrie of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia; six great-grandchildren; sister, Ernestine Fulford of Gray, Georgia; brother, Troy Hester of Belton, South Carolina. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Restoration Fellowship with Dr. John Looper officiating. Interment will follow in Red Hill Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and also from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday at Restoration Fellowship prior to the service.
