Carmen A. Goins, 83, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, December 3, 2010, in a local health facility. She was of the Christian faith. She retired from American Uniform after many years of service. She was the widow of Denver Goins. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Erb and Opal Lawson McAlister. She is survived by three children: Randy Goins and wife Carolyn, Steve Goins and fiancée Karen Bancroft, and Ginger Martin and fiancée Thomas Haggard, all of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Angela Whitley and husband Tony, Tisha Holder and husband Don, David Goins, Sandra Greene and husband Paul, and Lacey Thomas; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley Lynn Goff, Braylin Lee Holder, Nola Beth Greene, Benjamin Shane Goins, Cannon Ramsey, Kortney Thomas, and Cayson Hughes; one sister, Kathryn Callahan and one brother, Clyde McAlister, both of Cleveland; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home, with Pastor Danny Arp officiating. Interment will follow in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Goins, Paul Greene, Don Holder, Thomas Haggard, Bill Watson, Marvin Tanksley, and Cannon Ramsey. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 8, 2010, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
